I've been to a number of steakhouses in my life. I came here for a dinner after hearing it be highly recommended by some famous food reviewers. It in no way met my expectations. The steak was very good, having an exceptionally crisp and richly flavored sear, although the ribeye that we got was cut too far close to the chuck end and ended up having a large part of the complexus in addition to the spinalis dorsi (excellent) and the longissimsus. That part was rather tough. Why such a large part of the complexus would be included on an otherwise trimmed steak was lost in me but I felt that for the price it was unacceptable. The cook was perfect and the seasoning was good, though. The complimentary pan con tomate was excellent. The bread was crusty and hearty, rare in this city, and the demonstration of how to make it was fun. The service was good, if unremarkable. The servers were nice overall. The sides were atrocious. The shrimp and pork crackling dish was nearly cold, with the crackling being soggy. The green beans were too salty and bizarrely sauced in a manner more befitting a Chinese takeaway than a steakhouse of this supposed calibre. The pomme purée gratinée had a thin, gruel-like texture and tasted like water. Were Oliver Twist to have been given these potatoes, he would have said "Please, sir, I do not want any more," I would daresay. The risotto was fine but gauchely overloaded with artifical truffle seasonings, as if the chef had discovered such products only a day earlier, and had, with clumsy enthusiasm, dumped half of the bottle in the dish. The wine list was somewhat short and a bit unrefined. I would normally not complain about this sort of thing but it seemed as if the pages were printed on an office printer and put into plastic page keepers, which I felt was somewhat unbefitting of a decent steakhouse. The atmosphere was fine, but not particularly high end. Not amazing overall. Would not go again. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩100,000+
