I just visited a coffee shop in Taipei and had such a great experience with the owner. When I went in to order a long black, he patiently explained that the takeaway cup would be slightly smaller, and why that’s the case. He then asked whether I preferred light or medium roast and took the time to explain the different flavor profiles of each bean. You can really tell he cares deeply about coffee and has high standards for what he serves. He’s genuinely passionate and wants his customers to experience the coffee the way he believes it should taste. This is probably my favorite coffee shop in Taipei so far—not just because the coffee is good, but because of the interaction and care he shows to customers. It’s not like other places where you just order and get your drink. The shop itself is also very comfortable. Next time I visit, I’ll definitely sit down and try some of their more special coffees.
