Crab52 was an excellent experience. The seafood was very fresh and the quality really stood out. What I appreciated most was that everything was peeled and prepared so well, which made the meal very enjoyable without the usual mess. The variety was generous and the flavours were clean and well balanced. The space is not very large, but it feels intentional and comfortable, and the service was attentive throughout. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Crab 52 was truly disappointing, especially given the $200 price tag per person. The quality of the food was shockingly poor. They advertise premium ingredients like Hanwoo beef, but what I was served was tough, chewy, and tasted nothing like authentic Hanwoo,more like low-grade beef trying to pass as something it's not. The fried was oily, clearly frozen, and lacked any freshness or flavour you'd expect from a restaurant at this price point. The steamed crab was the only item that was somewhat acceptable, but even that wasn’t enough to redeem the rest of the meal. What pushed me over the edge was the sashimi chef eating while serving guests. Not only is this unhygienic, but it’s just plain unprofessional. I was so grossed out, I couldn’t eat the sashimi and ended up leaving it untouched. Bottom line: Crab 52 feels like a tourist trap with a luxury price and low-end food.
