There were two salad options, and I chose the smaller one, which cost 16,000 won. I also ordered the tomato pasta with thick noodles, topped with some mozzarella cheese and basil pesto. I arrived around 2 p.m., but since they have a break time at 3 p.m., there was no one on the first floor. I heard some noise upstairs, so I went up, and instead of a proper greeting, someone just said, “We have a break time at 3—is that okay?” It didn’t really feel like a warm welcome. The portions were noticeably small. The tomato pasta was 19,000 won, but it felt like barely half a serving. If you’re thinking of visiting, I’d suggest not ordering that one. The noodles seemed like fresh pasta, but they had a strong flour smell. The bread, which I guess was meant as a starter, was just dropped off next to the salad without a word. There were quite a few orders ahead of mine, so the food took about 20–25 minutes to come out. The vintage-style tableware and decor were charming, but somehow the place felt a bit unclean or awkwardly put together. The view is nice, and if you’re looking for a place that gives off real European vibes, it might be worth visiting. But in terms of value for money or taste—honestly, not great. The finest culinary establishment north of the river serving Scotland’s Tennets lager on draft. Discovery of this place should make any grown man gasp with joy. At 28 years of age, I have few bigger regrets than having failed to pay personal tribute to Dimi more often during my stay in Seoul. Walk with the mighty Blue House in the rear and the walls of the Gyeongbokgung palace to the left, until you find the smell of freshly poured golden nectar of Tennents bobbing its irresistible white head, paired perfectly with Dimi’s outstanding italian scran.
