シンガポールにすこし長く滞在していて、久しぶりにバスチャライズドミルクを使っていない生クリームのケーキが食べたい！と思いふらりと来店。ショートケーキとアイスラテを注文しました。 食べてみたところ、日本でよく食べたショートケーキの味&あと(たぶん)生乳のミルクのラテだー！！求めていた味でした～最高ーー！！ ケーキのイチゴはシンガポールのものですかね…？とてもフレッシュで、日本のよくあるショートケーキよりもずっと美味しかったです。ラテは無糖、軽めの苦味ですごく飲みやすかったです！ あと、店員さんが全員すごく気が利く方でびっくりしました…！注文しようと思ったらすぐに目が合いました。とても居心地よくすごせました！ シンガポールの甘いものももちろん大好きですが、ちょっと違う味が恋しくなったらまた来ようと思います。ありがとうございました。. A Charming Escape in the Heart of Orchard Following a recommendation from Ghib Ojisan, I finally made my way to Café Ma Maison at Mandarin Gallery. Even though it was a Friday and several of the most popular menu items were already sold out, the experience did not disappoint! The Vibe The café has a wonderful, rustic "Nagoya-style" aesthetic. Between the warm brickwork and the eclectic vintage decor (love the old cricket bats and framed prints!), it feels incredibly cosy—a perfect sanctuary from the Orchard Road bustle. The Food & Drink Beef Steak Rice: Perfectly cooked and savoury. The garlic chips on top added a fantastic crunch and depth to every bite. Fruit Tea: Served in a glass teapot, this was refreshing and beautifully presented with plenty of fresh fruit slices. It’s the ideal companion for a long chat. Cheesecake: A standout! It was rich and creamy, served with a lovely berry garnish and fresh cream. Absolutely yummy. Verdict Even with limited availability on a busy Friday, the quality of what we had was top-notch. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere makes you want to linger. I’ll definitely be back (hopefully a bit earlier next time to catch the full menu!). Highly recommended for anyone looking for a touch of Japanese café culture in Singapore. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: MA Maison Cheesecake, Steak
