店主が陽気な方で、リクエストを言うと、内容に沿ったボードゲームを提示して、ルール説明をしてくれて快適でした 平日なので、フリータイム2000円ですが、ドリンク1杯含まれてます。 手作りスムージーが美味しくて、追加注文しました（500円） 非常におすすめです. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

天神北にあるボドゲカフェです。天神北という土地柄もあり、お店が入っているビルは初見ではギョッとします。「ほんとにこんなビルにボドゲカフェが…？」と思うことでしょう。実際入ってみると、掘りごたつ形式の居心地の良いカフェと分かるのですが。 特筆すべき点は2つ。 【1】金曜の夜には毎回ミートアップという英語の交流会があります。色んな国の方が集まるので、「英語で会話したい」と思う方には特におすすめです。店長のネイトさんは、日本語も英語も達者なので、フォローも受けられると思います。英会話教室に通うよりコスパは良いんじゃないでしょうか。 【2】あとお手製スムージー。果物と豆乳で作られたスムージーはかなり美味しいです。なかなか他では見ないかも。. I’m a traveler from the United States, and during a recent trip I explored many parts of Japan, from Furano in the north to Yakushima in the south. Out of all the places I visited, Cafe Meeple in Tenjin, Fukuoka left a particularly strong impression on me. My wife and I first visited in March and immediately fell in love with the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the cozy, comfortable space. We enjoyed it so much that we later adjusted our travel plans to spend an entire week in Fukuoka just to return to the café. Before heading back to the U.S., I even visited one more time — it’s the kind of place you naturally want to come back to. Since returning to the United States, this is the only place I’ve truly found myself missing. The owner, Nate, is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about making sure everyone feels comfortable and has a good time. His knowledge of board games is impressive — no matter the group size, difficulty level, or genre, he always has thoughtful recommendations ready. He’s fluent in both English and Japanese, which makes the café especially easy to enjoy for both locals and visitors. Even if you come alone, the staff are happy to play with you or help connect you with others. Thanks to the open and friendly environment, this was actually the first place in Japan where I made a genuine local friend. As a bonus, the smoothies are excellent — made with real fruit, soy milk, and light sweetening, they feel fresh and natural rather than overly sugary. Whether you’re a board game enthusiast, a complete beginner, or just looking for a relaxed place to meet people, Cafe Meeple is a special spot that I’d wholeheartedly recommend.
