Eat dinner at this place today, ordered the set dinner B sirloin steak, chose the spaghetti with BBQ sauce. Soup and drink you could pick your own too. Big portions of the steak and spaghetti, right amount of hardness and tomato sauce for the spaghetti. Big chunk of steak mixed with BBQ sauce which was delicious. Affordable price for everyone to enjoy their meal! Many choices of set dinner you could chiose from. Price per person: HK$100–150 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We came back to this long standing restaurant in Taipo to revisit some cha chaan teng classics. This time we had the famous Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken thigh was nice and fresh, and cooked well. The meal came with a winter melon soup, chicken rice and 2 dipping sauces. Very tasty. The other dish my partner had was the beef steak sizzling plate, with black pepper gravy. It came with cooked vegetables and fries served underneath the meat. Surprisingly, this joint has been operating since 1986, and in recent years under a modern name (Cafe Polanka). What surprises us more is that the menu hasn’t really changed all these years (36+ years to be exact), nor have the portion sizes (esp the sizzling plate dishes!). This place definitely gives you value for money. The food quality is consistent, service efficient and interiors/utensils clean. In the current economic climate, this local restaurant was relatively busy. We were seated at 6pm and out by 6:45pm and by that time the place was already 70% full. All the booth seats had been taken. Highly recommend this restaurant when you are looking for meal ideas in Taipo! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
