I am first time visitor to Hat Yai and I heard quite a bit about this place. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hat Yai city, and you are in need of some serenity and tranquility, then this half-jungle and half-Western cuisine style cafe is the place to hang out and chill. The place exudes nature at its "best" with a big Koi pond and lots of greenery. It even has a very liberal minded approach with regard to its toilets (see photo herein). The food here, is mainly Western style. I ordered a Coconut Pie and a hot Cappuccino. The Pie was baker in-house and was just a tad sweet and not cloying. The Cappuccino was very milky and it was not acidic - and it even came with an Oolong tea chaser, on the house. Service here was very good - very friendly and courteous. The dining ambience was... you already know, right. (Hat Yai) Cafe Restique Daxue Road Cafe Address: 128 Soi Sam Phinong 2, Tambon Hat Yai, Hat Yai District, Songkhla 90110 Business hours: 8:00am-18:00pm, closed on Mondays This cafe is located at the back of Daxue Road. It has no air conditioning. It has a small outdoor courtyard with running water, so it doesn't get too hot. The coffee in this shop basically uses hand press pots or hand brewing, which is different from smarter machines and tests the skills of the baristas. Iced Americano: The coffee tastes more bitter and has a higher concentration, but the taste is very good. Thai milk tea: It is different from the Thai milk tea outside. It has a special tea aroma and the ratio of milk to milk is just right. This is recommended. It's very comfortable to sit here, watching the koi swimming around, listening to the sound of running water, drinking coffee, and chatting with friends.
