I’ve been coming to Camden Town Fish and Chip Shop in Sai Kung for over 15 years and it has always been a firm favourite of mine. It is right on the Sai Kung waterfront at 49號 Sai Kung Hoi Pong St, Hong Kong, which makes it a lovely spot to enjoy a meal. Carmen is wonderful. Every time we visit she brings out a bag of toys for my children and they absolutely love it. They look forward to coming here just as much for the toys as for the food. The fish and chips are excellent and they really do a good version of the British classic. Camden Town is not just about fish and chips though. The menu has a good variety with starters such as chicken wings, garlic bread and a really good French onion soup. For mains there are pizzas, pasta dishes and other fish dishes too. Everything is consistently tasty and well prepared. They also have a good selection of frozen smoothies, beers and wines which makes it a nice spot whether you are after a quick bite or a proper sit down meal. The only thing I would say is I wish they stayed open a bit later during the week. We often do not get back to Sai Kung in time after work to enjoy a midweek meal here. Overall Camden Town is a fantastic spot for anyone who wants proper British fish and chips along with a wider choice of good food and drinks, all in a great waterfront location.
