Some of the dietary restrictions don’t make sense. You can get a burger, onion rings, and a slice of “pizza” with cake and a soda. But if you go to the main line and the only main food they have left already has noodles in it they won’t give you rice or potatoes so all you get is some veggies. Sometimes the options there are thin too and all you get is the protein meal with whatever starch is included in it. They could at least give you a small scoop of rice/potatoes or whatever. Even better have other options available. If you’re making me choose between Swedish meatballs with noodles and potatoes what’s the point of having the potatoes there to begin with? I wholeheartedly am of the opinion that Marines who are in shape should be able to ask for whatever they want. For all they know you’re at dinner because you didn’t make it to lunch because of work. This whole re-scanning your CAC is dumb too depending on how long lines are. TRULY the food is never bad, not compared to San Mateo for sure, but these limitations leave me hungry sometimes. Kind of defeats the purpose of the chow-hall. Futenma is not nearly as strict with this and they seem to be doing just fine! Meal type: Other Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
