Beautiful concept in great nature, but a fatal lack of care, service, and animal welfare – We will never return! The area where the hotel is located is truly beautiful, very quiet, and actually ideal for relaxing. We also generally like the core concept of the hotel. However, after our second visit, one thing is certain: we will never return. It absolutely breaks my heart, but we cannot and will not continue to support this type of animal keeping and the conditions on-site. Catastrophic Animal Welfare Conditions: The staff seem completely uninterested and detached, which ultimately falls back on the defenseless animals. Observed Animal Cruelty: From the pool, we had to watch a staff member feeding corn strictly to the smallest capybara. When the two larger animals understandably came closer because they were hungry, he shoved them away roughly and even struck one of them! Because the animals naturally didn't back down, he kept pushing them away over and over. Only after this aggressive chaos did he think to separate the smallest capybara so he could feed it in peace. Why not do that from the very beginning if the little one isn't getting enough? Treating animals this way is shameful. Deplorable Living Conditions: The capybaras are bathing in a foul, brown cesspool full of feces and bacteria. The pungent stench wafts all the way up to the guest pool. Until the new pool is built, the current one must be maintained! Inappropriate Reptile Keeping: The turtles and other reptiles have been isolated and are kept in a dark corner on a bare tiled floor. They get absolutely no sun there—which is harmful to health and completely inappropriate for cold-blooded reptiles that urgently need warmth and UV light. Further Deficiencies: A sharp, biting odor comes from the meerkats; their enclosure is far too small, and they have no opportunity to dig. The guinea pigs are doing the best there, and their food is even beautifully arranged at times. However, a lot of potential is wasted here as well, as guests and children are not involved in the feeding at all. Indifferent Service & Property Deficiencies: Even though there were barely any guests, the staff spend hours on their phones. Emails are only answered after days, and storm damage (fallen branches) is left lying around for days. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the shower has moldy corners. Another huge issue is the large number of swallows around the accommodations. The balconies, chairs, and outdoor seat cushions were completely covered in bird droppings. During our three-day stay, the balcony was not cleaned a single time. Yet, it would be so simple to store the cushions inside the room so that guests can take out clean ones themselves as needed. Particularly dangerous: After a heavy downpour, deep water gathered in the entrance area on a slippery plastic floor that looks like glass. Our daughter didn't see the water, slipped severely, and was completely soaked from head to toe. This is simply negligent, especially since the hotel knew we were arriving. Breakfast Cancellation & Overpriced Items: On the first evening, we were casually informed that there would be no breakfast the next morning. Since the hotel is very remote and the rooms do not have their own kitchen, we had to drive 15 minutes away just to be able to have breakfast. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel. At the same time, the restaurant charges vastly overpriced rates for its rural 3-star standard (e.g., 90 Baht for a cola)—knowing full well that there are hardly any alternatives in the immediate area. Conclusion: Even if the idyllic location and the price sound tempting: the lack of effort, the missing cleanliness, and above all, the heartbreaking treatment of the animals do not justify a stay here in any way. The pity for the animals completely overshadows any relaxation. The whole concept unfortunately feels as though the animals are only kept to attract tourists—you will look for a true awareness of animal welfare in vain. We strongly advise against visiting.

It’s a nice, quiet place to rest and rejuvenate with nature. There are rice fields surrounding it. We stayed here for 3 nights. The house with its air conditioning , bath tub etc is good and new. We had a good sleep too. Animals are awesome to hang out with. To me, they are taken care of with love. Just that the meerkats do have a smell. The capybaras have been separated as a family. The other half of them are in the capybara cafe in the city. But just some pointers to note; 1. Transportation - it’s best to drive here in a small car / motorbike. And there are no street lamps leading to the resort at night , so do be careful. 2. There’s no staff around after 9.30pm. They will go home. You are on your own. So, it should be marketed as an AirBnb style , instead of a resort. 3. Food is good; acceptable. But it’s pricey- maybe because of resort standard prices. About 240 baht. And it’s limited menu. Bring snacks beforehand. 4. After second night , we wanted a refresh of the towels and to clear the thrash, but nothing was done. They provide 2 bottles of 1.5 litres water daily; if need extra, it’s 90 baht per bottle. So to sum up, it’s a good place but maybe just for 1-2 nights stay. Can improve on service and transport. Otherwise, just visit the animals for experience. Service: 3

We stayed here for 2 nights and the staff was very friendly. The neighborhood was quiet and easy to run in. If you love animals this is a great resort to stay at. They seem to take great care and have love for the animals Room is HUGE and spacious with a big bathtub - we were very pleasantly surprised. Only thing that could improve is the food selection - it is tasty but limited and small on portions. Coffee is good though :) Also getting a taxi / grab out of here is difficult with grab but the staff can help you call a car in advance Service: 5
