Caracara ( cafe/ restaurant) 77 Neil Road, Singapore 088903 Location = CaraCara cafe and restaurant is nestled in a 3-storey conserved shophouse along Neil Road. To get here = Alight at Maxwell MRT station, use Exit 3, and cross the one-way street of Neil Road. ️ Walk along the row of shophouses and you will eventually reach 77 Neil Road. Food/ Drinks ******************. Hubby and I had these: _________________________. Caraage ( ie Karaage / 3 pieces of Japanese fried chicken) priced at SGD9. ︎ The Tori Karaage pieces were juicy, succulent and well-marinated. Tori Karaage = is Japanese fried chicken. "Caraage" is a playful pun on the Jepun word of Karaage. Iced Cafe Latte = SGD7 per glass. ️ I customised my iced cafe latte the usual way, one single espresso shot per glass and with more milk. The iced cafe latte was well-crafted with subtle notes of chocolate, and the coffee profile had depth and balance, and just a very slight hint of bitterness. In my humble opinion, this is simply good coffee. Decor ************. This cafe is named “Caracara” - and the term actually refers to a genus of birds in the falcon family. Upon entering, there is a long wooden counter that is reminiscent of a Japanese omakase restaurant. On the opposite side of the counter are booth seats. I asked for permission to take photos of the entire space and Kim, the kindly barista, agreed to my request. The interior of Caracara is chic, elegant and super stylish. It is designed with various warm wood furnishings and has different sections all over. Soft ambient structured lighting and a soothing palette of earthy hues lends the space a warm and cosy vibe. I Really Love the Decor! It is gorgeous, you have to see it for yourself. Service **************. Kim, the Head Barista attended to us immediately when we entered the space. He was so very kind, cheerful, amiable and you can tell from his demeanour that he really cares for and loves his work. His passion for coffee is undeniable and it was such a pleasure to meet an affable Head Barista like him. Overall, I have a great impression of this cafe and I will visit it again for a proper dinner meal the next time around. 1st Nov 2025 Sat.
