The problem is not the food itself, because it is actually good. The problems are rather: 1) We had to wait for 45 minutes after ordering before we got our meals... The location was not so crowded at the time so it should not have been such a big problem for them to serve all their guests. They didn't apologize for the long waiting time. 2) We got some dishes that were very different from what we ordered (see pictures). We ordered egg rice curry and special rice curry with omelet. Neither of our dishes contained any eggs but fish cutlet instead. When we asked for the reason, they told us that their dishes just sometimes vary and only got a half-hearted "sorry" ... But we were not informed about this earlier (actually we asked about the ingredients of the dishes before ordering and they described the meal according to the menu). We also did not get any compensation for being served incorrectly. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are shown in the menu but when you order them you might get something completely different without prior notice.

Honestly, it was the best Sri Lankan food experience we had in Japan. After hiking Kita Dake for three days without a proper meal, we discovered this nice and cozy Sri Lankan restaurant. The owners are very friendly, and the service is excellent. As for the food, it was simply delicious—tasty dishes with generous portions. The prices are reasonable, and they even have parking, so there's no hassle. The restaurant's interior is cozy, creating a pleasant atmosphere. You can choose to dine in or take out as well. We highly recommend this place if you happen to visit minami alps area.
