I was standing in a queue of three people, with myself in the middle. The cashier was serving the customer in front of me, while another sales assistant came over and attended to the customers behind me. I assumed that once the cashier had finished serving the first customer, she would serve me next, so I waited patiently. However, after the other sales assistant finished serving the customer behind me, she did not approach me or ask what I needed. Instead, the cashier also ignored me and began processing the items of the customer who had been behind me. Both staff members appeared to completely overlook me. I genuinely do not understand why this happened. It left me feeling ignored and unwelcome as a customer. Both customers in front and behind of me looked foreign, and were dressed in more "expensive-looking" garments than me. So I can only assume that your staff are only trained to serve "wealthier customers"? If your policy is to prioritize wealthy foreign customers over local customers, then perhaps a notice should be displayed at the counter stating: "We only welcome rich foreigners." Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Ordered the cakes on Grab App for a celebration. Saw that the Kueh Salat was the 'Most Ordered' so wanted to try, end up came a brown kueh that was wrong order and restaurant did not bother to address it on the App when I chatted with them. No apology, no refund or explanation. Even the carrot cake looks 'cui' for the price of 12.80 per piece. Will NOT recommend this and certainly not worth the money for such cakes. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1

We love this cake shop! Our absolute favorite in Singapore. We take every single chance to order cakes from them. My children have regular eye appointments at Paragon every 6 months so we buy slices of cakes from Chalk Farm each time. However, services at the paragon location is just simply poor. My child today commented how rude the older female server was to the customers. We felt we owe money to her. Their Parkway Parade location is much better with customer service. We also go there often due to kid’s tuition sessions. We bought 3 flavors today. Our favorite is the salted caramel red velvet. At dinner I took it out to serve to the family. To my horror, they put the icing side on the bottom. The cake came out very messy! It ruined the beautiful cake!!! I don’t think this is acceptable for an established brand! It demonstrated the lowest level of professionalism and respect to their customers!! As much as we love Chalk Farm, it’s time for the business owners to review customer satisfaction. Cake business is very competitive and can be easily replaced! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
