I only ate at restaurant . I had noodles seafood and veg. It was quite nice but 70% noodles. The service was terrible. I stood waiting at the counter while the older lady ignored me scrolling through her phone. When I ordered a can plus glass of ice. She handed me can, unopened and then put glass ice at other end of bar. The ‘ i dont want to be here’ was written all over her face! Probably one of the most unwelcoming locals i have come across. However, the attraction is the gorgeous view with restaurant right over the water

Avoid Char Bungalows at all costs. Our stay was a complete nightmare and we decided to leave after three nights because the situation became unbearable. The property is infested with rats which were especially active at night and prevented us from sleeping. This is a serious health risk that no guest should ever have to face. On top of that there were frequent power outages throughout our stay and the room was not clean when we arrived. The entire property grounds are covered in trash and waste. To make matters even worse the management is now attempting to commit fraud by claiming to Booking that we never arrived. This is a blatant lie as we stayed there for three nights. They are refusing to refund the remaining two nights despite these disgusting conditions. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Service: 1

Thank you for your review. We have informed you that the accommodation is surrounded by nature. It wasn't a rat, but a squirrel, as this is normal. We confirm that there are no rats here. The room you stayed in was new, the bathroom had a water heater and all the necessary amenities for a room at 1,800 THB per night, with a sea view. For this price on Koh Tao, it's very cheap. If you want luxury, we recommend booking a 5-star hotel at a much higher price. We told you that if you weren't happy with the room from the start, you could have informed us, and we would have gladly refunded the full amount. However, you stayed for 3 nights and only now have problems, and you said you recorded a clip. We asked to see if it was really a rat, but you said you only recorded the sound, which is invaluable. Our bungalow only has squirrels. Everyone who stays here understands the island's natural environment. The reason we are not is because of our bungalow's policy, as you stayed for 3 nights. Furthermore, there is no message from Booking.com stating that you only planned to stay for 3 days. It seems you were simply unhappy from the start and have lied to us, causing us damage.
