One of my fav chicken rice stalls, had it growing up and even now. Fragrant rice. Staff are polite and friendly too. $4.50 per plate of chicken rice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

All-time favorite Toa Payoh chicken rice at Blk 85B, it is weekly or even daily fixes for many at this neighborhood, some who moved out from TPY I still see them returning for this simple feast. Chen Cai (the friendly owner) and his team have been serving delicious meals at pocket friendly price, for > 3 decades along the same street! The shop opens from 6 ish am till sold out (after lunch) they are close on Tue. My favorite would be the white beehoon in the morning, topped with home made shallots and green chilli yummmmmessss try their home brewed barley or iced lemon too! For lunch, I usually order drumstick rice with chicken wing, which paired with generous portion of bean sprouts and cucumber which costs only $6 Now is a good time also for cny order, where you can order chicken, duck, roast pork or char siew for gatherings or prayers, order early before slots run out! Again, friendly prices. Ps, boss had a good grin (in last pic) when I told him about me writing google review Friends, if you’re nearby or even not so near swing by.. you will not regret service is good too ;) Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
