a spacious, comfortable café with a clean industrial style and large windows that make the space feel bright and inviting. The seating is generous and very comfortable, and it’s a great spot for conversations or laptop work thanks to the available plugs and steady Wi-Fi. The vinyl wall is the café’s main visual highlight and gives the space character, although the overall theme feels a bit mixed, especially with Christmas piano music playing instead of anything related to vinyl or jazz. I tried the black sesame latte and a saltbread pastry. Both were beautifully presented, with a great balance of flavors. The nuttiness of the sesame blended well with the coffee, and the pastry had an interesting cookie-like exterior that paired nicely with the soft inside. Both items could have been served a bit warmer, but the quality was definitely there. Service is friendly and efficient, the café is very clean, and ordering is straightforward with drinks displayed at the counter and pastries available self-serve. Prices are fair for the area, and there are clearly marked signature and seasonal drinks. Overall, it’s a pleasant café to sit and relax in, especially because of the comfortable seating. I wouldn’t return specifically for the theme or uniqueness, as the concept feels a bit mismatched, but it’s a good place for meeting friends or spending some quiet time with a drink. After visiting a famous bakery in Sokcho, I looked to the side to see if there was a place to quench my thirst, and found 'Cheongchodam Cafe'. The overall atmosphere was neat. It was nice to feel that it was newly built and clean, and in contrast, there were albums and LPs with a retro feel displayed on the wall next to the cafe, as well as speakers and other exhibits placed here and there! It was nice to feel the old sensibility. The service was good too! president? Part-time worker? I don't know exactly, but there were two people, and they were both kind. When I brought the dog with me, they asked me what gender it was and responded with a faint smile. I guess it was a service that made me feel good! In fact, the attitude of the people working there is the biggest factor when it comes to service, but on the other hand, it is also right to look at the convenience of the facilities. Because this place was newly built, the bathrooms were clean, and the ceiling was high, so it felt open, so it was not stuffy, but open and cool. It made me feel good~! The convenience of the facilities was also the best. Now the most important thing is the taste... it was really great haha. The drinks and ice cream were above average (I think it's hard to do more than the basics in a cafe haha) and most of all, the potato bread was amazing. persimmon . ruler . bread. If you come to Cheongchodam, be sure to try the potato bread. It’s truly delicious. The savory flavor that comes out when you chew the chewy blood, and the even more savory and sweet potato filling inside, are exquisite. It's such a taste that even the residents of Gangwon-do, where potatoes are a specialty, would come and eat it if they knew about it.. haha I'll come again next time. Thank you!
