First time dinner visit with a friend. The restaurant ambitiously presented itself as an izakaya / Japanese tavern. I felt it succeeded in decoration and beverages, but lacked the food diversity and interaction with customers. The food variety can be enriched. Staff can take one more step to introduce sake or dishes. Frankly, as laymen to sake and soju (for most time we just picked beers or whiskeys), we would like to learn the taste differences among the sake / soju brands or types on the menu. Without any knowledge, we could only let the price tags dominating our minds to order. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$450–500 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I personally think Chew Chew is definitely a 5-star restaurant on Google and the best restaurant in Sham Shui Po area. Super nice deco and atmosphere - not to mention the good food and desserts they serve! Don’t forget to reserve a table in advance if you prefer tatami style seats. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
