この建物は日本占領時代に建てられたもので、現在は歴史博物館になっています

建物は立派ですが資料館としてはかなり内容が乏しい印象でした。館内のスペースの半分はレストランが占めていて見て回れるエリアは広くないです。お手洗いが外にあるのも不便でした。訪問時は台風の後だったため入り口の鳥居が破損していました。

Chiayi City Historical Relic Museum (昭和十八J18 - 原嘉義市史蹟資料館) Like stepping back in time to the Japanese era in Taiwan. This well-preserved wooden building creates an atmosphere reminiscent of Japan's Showa period. Inside, the museum displays the detailed history of Chiayi City, including stories from the Japanese colonial period, people's way of life, and the city's development. There's a small souvenir area where you can buy items reflecting the city's unique character and Japanese cultural influence from the past. We bought some charms to take home too.
