The Choi Kee Private in Causeway Bay took the spotlight at the Asian Spicy Crab King (20th edition). Located right in Causeway Bay, it’s the go‑to spot when you’re craving seafood with friends. Easy to reach from the MTR, it has cozy VIP vibes, and that typhoon shelter spicy crab absolutely slaps with garlic and chili—crispy garlic bits everywhere, the kind you keep picking at even after the crab’s gone. The clams in black bean sauce deliver a deep, savory punch, while the crab oil noodles are silky, rich, and coated with that umami crab essence without ever feeling heavy. Even the garlic vegetables hit the spot, keeping things fresh and balanced. At HK$698 for two, it feels like a hidden gem deal. This 40‑year OG has also opened a new branch in Shenzhen Luohu. I’ll definitely give it a try if I travel to China during Easter!
