Warning: Please Stop Reading This Review Immediately. Look, I’m going to be selfish: I really, really hope you never step foot in this place. Why? Because it’s already hard enough for me to snag a table, and if you find out how good it is, I’ll be eating my dinner on the sidewalk. This spot is a total gem, and frankly, it’s ruining my life with how much I love it. The staff is so friendly it’s suspicious—what are they hiding? (Spoiler: it’s incredible food). The Hit List: The Croque Monsieur: Forget everything you know about ham and cheese. This was, hands down, the best version I’ve ever had. I’d marry it if the law allowed. The Mushroom Tart: A savory little masterpiece. It’s like a hug for your taste buds, but with more butter. The Pork Chop: Absolutely flawless. Tender, flavorful, and cooked so perfectly I almost shed a tear. The Macaroni with Comté: Two words: Deeply. Delicious. It’s the kind of comfort food that makes you forget your own name. The Verdict? If I had to summarize this place in three words, it’s my Favorite. French. Restaurant. (In all of Hong Kong!) But seriously... don't go. Leave the pork chops for me. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

ChouChou is the sister restaurant of Babette, which we love. So we came here for the weekend brunch ($428/person). The restaurant is very nice with floor to ceiling windows, it also has a patio with outdoor seatings. We had the Salade de Crabe, Tartare de Boeuf, Poulet de Chouchou, Choux au Chocolat. All dishes are nicely cooked, would like to come back for dinner to try their signature dry aged duck. Meal type: Brunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was excited to try Chou Chou given its good reviews and reputation of Babette but it turns out to be a let down. My friends and I were very disappointed with the food , service was ok though, you could tell staffs were welcoming. The dishes LOOK great however none of the dishes actually tasted good. The seasoning was a little off, most dishes taste quite bland. I was most disappointed with the duck breast considering it is their signature dish, the seasoning, flavour and aroma of the duck were all lacking, and the side dishes that they recommended were very bland, I couldn’t taste any cheese in the macaroni. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
