Amazing birthday meal at Chouchou from start to finish. We started off with the Foie Gras au Torchon. A simple, classic French staple yet here at Chouchou, it is done really, really well. The brioche bread was the star of the show -- toasted just right, it had crunchy edges but warm and soft inside. It paired wonderfully with the smooth and buttery foie gras and pear puree. The sea salt was a nice touch! For the Main, the two of us shared Cote de Boeuf. It was absolutely delicious! The deboned ribeye steak, in medium rare, was tender, juicy and flavourful - not dry at all. The cut had evenly distributed marbling and the steak was seared to perfection. Very yummy even without the whiskey and mustard sauce. To finish, we ordered the Choux au Chocolat as we were filled to the brim from the main. Service was very well-paced; staff was friendly, and professional. Shoutout to the sommelier for choosing a wonderful red wine for us. We had a great time at Chouchou and thoroughly enjoyed all dishes. Chouchou has easily become our neighbourhood favourite, and we will definitely return to try many other dishes on the menu. Overall, its meh. The sashimi appetiser was quite nice but the leek was too heavy and had way too much cream on top. The beef tartare on the end tasted bland. The fish was not bad but the yellow chicken was really oily and it was not thoroughly cooked for the meat that’s closest to the bones. Can pass if im being honest. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: HK$500+

We dined last Tuesday night for the second time, and the food and service are still top-notch. Special thanks to Geraldine, who always looks after us, even on our second visit. We truly enjoyed the duck, and it was a great celebration for our friend's birthday. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
