Fishball Backup When Keung Kee Is Out! TBH, my family has been loyal to Keung Kee "強記" around the corner whenever fishball cravings hit—it's our go-to. But this time, they had some accident and were temporarily closed for fixes. With that intense craving refusing to wait, I finally gave Chun Mei Fong a shot nearby. And wow, surprisingly good! The curry sauce is thick and clings perfectly to each fishball (no skimping here). It's milder on spice than Keung Kee, but the saltiness strikes such a nice balance with the gentle heat. And you can actually taste the subtle tangerine peel inside the fishballs, and the texture is that slightly bouncy side (not mushy). I'm still team Keung Kee (spicy lover haha), but if I don't want to queue forever next time, Chun Mei Fong is on my backup plan. $8 for 6pcs #ChunMeiFong Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HKD 1–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
