Finding authentic dining that caters to a halal diet in a busy city like Tokyo can be a challenge, but we were incredibly fortunate to discover Cinta Jawa Cafe right after visiting the famous Shibuya Crossing. It was wonderfully easy to find, tucked away peacefully on the 4th floor, yet just steps from the hustle. Transported to Indonesia The moment we stepped off the elevator and into the restaurant, we felt an immediate wave of warmth and tranquility. The beautiful, authentic décor instantly transported us to Indonesia, offering a wonderful escape from the buzzing streets of Tokyo below. This welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the genuine kindness of the staff, made us feel right at home. Truly Authentic Halal Cuisine The menu here is truly excellent. We were immediately relieved to see that all the food and drink were entirely halal and deeply authentic. It was a joy to order a variety of dishes, knowing everything was prepared with care. Our boys quickly devoured the flavorful fried chicken, while we enjoyed a wonderful selection of seafood and vegetables. However, the absolute standout dish of the entire meal—and possibly one of the best things we ate in Japan—was the fried duck. It was truly outstanding; perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service Beyond Expectation Our experience was elevated by our incredible server, Abdulla. He was amazing—friendly, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about the cuisine. He made thoughtful recommendations and was incredibly accommodating to our family, ensuring we had everything we needed with a warm, genuine smile. We were so thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our visit that we made a point of expressing our loyalty. We learned Cinta Jawa Cafe has six branches around the city, including one conveniently located right near our hotel in Akihabara. With five more nights left in Tokyo, we immediately told the team we would absolutely visit another one of their branches! Cinta Jawa Cafe is a fantastic destination for anyone seeking high-quality, authentic Indonesian halal food in Tokyo.
