️ Civilize Ayutthaya – A Riverside Dining Experience Worth Trying Located along the Chao Phraya River, Civilize Ayutthaya offers a relaxing atmosphere with both air-conditioned indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor area overlooking the water. The restaurant is modern, comfortable, and a great place to take a break while exploring Ayutthaya. We ordered several traditional Thai dishes, including Crispy Pork Roll served with ajad (a refreshing sweet-and-sour cucumber relish), Nam Prik Kapi with crispy rice crackers (khao tang), Miang Kham Pomelo, and Nam Prik Lon with assorted fresh and boiled vegetables. As a Vietnamese diner, I found the food quite spicy, but incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. The Miang Kham Pomelo was especially memorable, combining pomelo, dried shrimp, roasted coconut, peanuts, ginger, and herbs wrapped in betel leaves, creating a wonderful balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors. Both Nam Prik dishes were rich, authentic, and packed with character. The Thai tea was surprisingly refreshing with a subtle minty note, making it a perfect companion to the spicy dishes. The restaurant was cool and comfortable despite the heat outside, and the staff provided attentive and efficient service throughout the meal. If you’re looking for authentic Thai flavors in a scenic riverside setting, Civilize Ayutthaya is definitely worth a visit.
