Attention all Aussies and coffee lovers! I just found a cafe is where you can get your Melbourne style latte that will satisfy your sophiscated coffee pallet. The best part is they open at 8am. I find many Korean cafes don't open till 10am. Founded 11 years ago by a passionate coffee enthusiast, an architect and Jeju native, the space transformed into a thoughtfully designed cafe from the entry way to every corner. The ground floor is in grounding dark gray tone with their coffee roaster, bar, about 4 small tables, display of their coffee products. Now, let's talk about the upper level. It is airy and bright in white tone mixed with exposed concrete brick. On a sunny clear day, you can get the view of Halla mountain at a distance. The miniture pyramid glass structure resembling Louvre allows the natural light in to the ground floor. The pastries looked good. The one I had was tasty and had a nice crunchy texture There are paintings of Jeju on the wall with QR codes providing auidible experience matching the painting you are sitting by while sipping on the coffee. I wasn’t sure about this placeuntil I took the first sip of my Ethiopian coffee! The atmosphere here is busy with a surprising number and variety of brewing, extracting and roasting machines, as well as an overwhelming number of choices of beans to choose from when ordering drinks or beans. My first reaction to this array was that its visual appeal might be a distraction designed to disguise weaknesses, wrapping them in professional appearing surroundings. There was nothing of the such! The coffee was excellent. Seating might be more comfortable, and in spite of the size of the shop is somewhat limited. Otherwise, this is truly a great coffee shop. We landed in Jeju and were in need of coffee. As a big coffee nerd, I was thrilled to find Coffee Finder. The owner’s wife served us and she was fantastic. She took the time to explain the selections, her English was excellent, and she answered all of our questions. I had a filter Ethiopian that was amazing. My wife ordered the peanut latte and said it was the best latte she has had in Korea. On top of that, the owner’s wife shared recommendations for other coffee spots around the island, which was such a thoughtful touch. Coffee Finder is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates specialty coffee. The people are warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. I cannot recommend this place enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
