Coffee Beans by Dao in ICONSIAM is a very nice coffee shop and one of the many cafés you’ll find inside the mall. What caught my attention right away is that the café has two floors, and the design is really cute. It’s located on the ground floor, but the second level gives it this open feeling where you can see everything around you while still feeling like you’re inside the café. It’s a little hard to explain, but the layout looked really nice. I actually wanted to sit upstairs, but unfortunately it was closed for some reason. It was still pretty early, around 5 PM, so I didn’t really understand why it wasn’t open. Because of that, we had to sit downstairs. It was still fine, but I would have really liked to experience the second floor. I enjoy sitting somewhere a little higher and watching the world pass by while having coffee and a pastry. The pastries were excellent. One thing I really liked is that they’re not overly sweet, which makes them much more enjoyable. I ordered the chestnut fresh cream cake, and my husband ordered the cherry crumble cake, and both were amazing. We were really happy with our choices. The coffee was also very good and quite strong, which I personally liked. The service was good as well. The only downside for me was that the upstairs seating area was closed, and the downstairs area felt a little crowded. I’d love to go back and sit upstairs next time to see how the experience is from there. It is a bit pricey for coffee and cake, but that’s pretty normal considering it’s inside a large mall like ICONSIAM. You’re probably paying a bit for the location as well. Overall, it’s a nice café with great pastries and good coffee, and I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a pleasant place to stop for coffee while visiting the mall.
