Comet Cafe is a quick service restaurant inside Hong Kong Disneyland, located in Tomorrowland. The menu covers a small range of Asian comfort food items, the setup is designed for volume, and if you arrive during peak lunch hours the place fills up fast. The baked Japanese curry with mixed vegetables rice combo is one of the stronger options on the menu. The portion is genuinely large, which stands out at a theme park where the food-to-price ratio tends to disappoint, and the curry itself is well seasoned and satisfying in the way that a good baked curry should be. The udon in pork bone soup is another dish worth considering, particularly on cooler days. The broth is clean and the noodles hold up well. The pork chop set has its fans too and comes with a drink, which helps offset the price somewhat. The main drawback is the setting. The seating area is open air, which in summer becomes a real issue. The heat and humidity make it uncomfortable to sit for any length of time, and while there are fans in the area they do not do much when the weather is at its worst. Service is quick given that most of the prep work is done in advance, but the pace of the whole operation during busy periods makes it feel hectic rather than relaxed. For a mid-day meal between attractions it does the job, but if you have flexibility in your schedule and the crowds are building up, the options over in Frontierland and Adventureland tend to offer a quieter experience at a comparable price.
