These flaky pastries are known for their ultra-thin layered texture — almost like a cross between Japanese-style and European laminated pastries. That’s actually why many bakeries locally call them “Japanese biscuits,” even though the name is more of a historical bakery tradition than an actual origin In reality, it’s a traditional flaky Chinese-style pastry (often known as 日本饼), made with: Hundreds of delicate layers Light sweetness No filling inside Biting into it is messy in the best way — super crispy, airy, and it shatters into crumbs instantly. Very old school bakery that deserve a shoutout. Was there at 9am. Saw them take out all the freshly baked breads hot hot. Place is so neatly arranged. A lot of choice. Many old school pastries that no longer made in most new bakery. The cute old auntie in mid 60s is so friendly and nice. I want buy 2 pcs for 3.60. She told me can buy 3 for $4.50. Have always bought peanut butter and chocolate waffle from other places and always charged $3+ including bakery from shopping malls and swee heng. Over here the addition of 1 more flavour to the waffle is almost as much as 1 plain waffle pricing. Ridiculous and the service level is bad. Feedback to their boss and he totally ignored me. Avoid if can. Price per person: $1–10
