We came here for some fish and chips and got the best in Asia! Straight away, the food was amazing! The fish came steaming hot in a delicious crispy batter. It was a huge portion on top of some perfectly crisp chips(/fries). Included with the dish are 2 pieces of buttered bread should you want to combine them with your chips to create a classic chip butty (fries sandwich for our American friends). Salad, tomato ketchup, tartare sauce come with the fish and chips and malt vinegar too if desired. We were lucky enough to get some quality time to talk to Dave and Lisa who put the whole place together. They are both two genuine people who are happy to open up to you and share their experiences and anecdotes. The second we walked through the door I was struck with how the place felt, looked and smelled like a country side bar from home. The décor is excellent and I highly recommend this place to anyone who might be feeling homesick or wants to experience English food done extremely well. Excellent bar, excellent food, excellent people! You'd be a fool to miss Conway's in Kaohsiung! PS. Good luck with getting a dog!
