While Google may label this place simply as a “bar”, don’t let that fool you — Coolies' Union is no slouch when it comes to food. The fragrance alone from a serving of basmati rice is enough to knock your socks off. Rest assured, Coolies’ food gets both my (fat) and my friends’ (fat to foodies) seal of approval, and you’d only be doing yourself a disservice by missing out. As for the drinks, Coolies’ comes armed with recipes from a drinks maestro, Marlon, who makes even the simplest concoctions taste extraordinary and memorable. If atmosphere is what you care about most, Coolies’ has that covered too — rustic décor, dim lighting, and a banger playlist that somehow enhances every sip, all while keeping the music at a volume where conversations can still flow naturally. Worth every visit. Even if you’re not in the area, Coolies' Union is a place everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited 08/05/2026 Friday Evening. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience Red Wine in Glass Their wine options and recommendations are good and spot on. Wanted to just try out their wine in glass and ended up with a bottle for the night. Bar Snack Deep Fried Okra Something that is not the norm, interesting at first but fine it abit greasy after awhile. Need a little fine tuning to it. The food here is sublime - flavours are punchy but well-integrated and balanced. Service is attentive and warm, ambience inviting. Drinks are also well-made, and there's a good selection of wine too. Well worth a try! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $60–70
