Guy behind the bar put me in a very awkward situation this songkran. I bought some drinks and asked if we could fill up our guns using the bucket out front and he said yes. Then I got to fill it up and a big drunk guy gets belligerent with me telling me it’s a “private bucket” pretty aggressively So I go back to the bartender and he tells me no they don’t have any buckets and the water has been out all day. Clearly just lied to me to get me to stay and buy drinks without caring what happens after. Everyone is drunk today, it could have been a big scene.

While exploring the area, we came across a well-presented cocktail bar that immediately caught our attention. They offer a happy hour selection; however, I decided to stick with my all-time favourite — a Long Island Iced Tea. The service was impeccable, and the drinks were, without exaggeration, among the strongest we have had the pleasure of enjoying in Thailand. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. As a bonus, the venue also features a pool table, making it a great spot to unwind and spend the evening. Price per person: ฿800–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Cotton Bar is one of our favorite bars in Ao Nang. The staff is very friendly and they have great tasting drinks. Theu have a free pool table, too. Price per person: ฿200–300 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
