This is not our first time visiting Dredger Café in Takua Pa. We have been coming here since it first opened, and we really like the place. It’s usually quiet and has a relaxing vibe. However, our experience last week was not as good as before. We ordered food at the restaurant and specifically asked for the Thai dishes to be not spicy. My wife even spoke in Thai and clearly repeated the request to the staff. After waiting almost 40 minutes, the food arrived and it was very spicy. I’ve lived in Thailand for more than 9 years, so I understand Thai food well, but this was unacceptable. My son couldn’t even take a second bite, and we were unable to finish our meals . The pool area also had a very strong chlorine smell, with many kids playing. I personally wouldn’t recommend letting young children swim there at the moment. On a positive note, the place has had many renovations and added new attractions. They now have rabbits and goats that kids can feed, in addition to the koi pond. There was also a nice driver (unfortunately, I forgot his name). Overall, I still recommend the place, but be extra careful when ordering food. It may help to double-check or translate clearly to avoid issues. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿800–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
