Visited with my wife for their two signature dishes: Pyongyang cold noodles and gomtang. The gomtang comes in beef, pork, or mixed — I had the mixed but will go for pure beef next time, as the pork was a touch less tender than expected. The broth was rich and savory with great depth, though slightly on the salty side. The cold noodles are classic Pyongyang-style — mild and understated, a refreshing contrast on a hot summer day. It’s actually quite rare to find a restaurant pairing these two polar-opposite dishes (piping hot broth vs. ice-cold noodles), which makes this place unique. Self -serve banchan includes kimchi, pickled vegetables, and jeotgal — generous variety, but each side dish requires a separate trip since the containers only hold one item at a time. Five side dishes meant five trips back and forth, which was quite inconvenient. Overall: solid gomtang, decent cold noodles — though with so many Pyongyang noodle spots raising the bar these days, the naengmyeon alone doesn’t stand out.
