I went to Decker Barbecue for dinner alone and ordered the beef rib and a salad. The service was honestly very good, and I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was warm and comfortable. However, the food was not really to my personal taste. The beef rib was tender, but it was much too salty for me, especially the outer crust. I had to keep drinking sparkling water while eating it. The portion was not cheap, so I still finished it, but it was quite heavy for me. The salad also didn’t quite work for me. I personally found the flavour a bit hard to enjoy. Overall, I appreciate the good service and nice environment, but the food was unfortunately not my favourite. Maybe it suits people who enjoy stronger and saltier barbecue flavours. Personally, I expected a bit more for the price. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had the platter for 2 (180g meat x 3) which we were told contains more meat than 2x individual platters (200g meat x 2). Brisket and pork ribs were tender. Lamb sausage was ok. The portion of sides may be a bit small for some but otherwise they were all good especially the mac & cheese. I was happy to find alcohol free beer which has been quite hard to find when eating out (ever since I decided to cut down). It was busy on a Friday night. Service was good. A younger male staff brought us another eating tray without us asking when he saw that we mistakenly put the tap water bottle on it (we were first timers and dumb). Very hygienic and thoughtful of him. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thanks for coming down to Rob Quay and that you enjoyed the beer and BBQ. We like to keep things fresh in the beer fridge, even with n/a offerings, so there is something new when people come back to Decker. Hope to see you again soon.

Top marks on everything for the Decker BBQ team. This truly is a family restaurant, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. BBQ was very good. We had the Turkey and Brisket, both were incredible. Having had some incredible BBQ in America, I was not sure if anywhere would be able to match that, but the team start work at the early hours making sure the meat is good just right. Vegetarian? Don't worry, the sides are awesome and a main course on their own. We had Slw, chips, cornbread and the Kale salad, all brilliant. This was my first visit and definitely not my last.
