Beautiful location at the side of the river, the mock tudor interior is a nice touch. Overall worth the trip although to be honest it was a tad expensive, but considering the investment its understandable Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am generally not a fan of nature themed venues. I dislike the hoardes of instagrammers, the artificiality and the commercialisation of nature. Having said that, there's no entrance fee, the deer appeared well cared for and they were roaming free-ish. I do wonder why the owners opened before finishing: the frontage and building interior is impressive but the back is a bit of a mess. Scaffolding spoils the ambience. A wire fence does little to hide the builder's rubbish and unfinished work and there is a scattering of more rubbish down to the water's edge. The illusion is shattered somewhat. The building interior is impressive and the menu diverse if a little pricey. On that note the menu book, rather like the rear area, could do with some improvement. Poor descriptions and photos that put me off rather than encouraged me. Atmosphere: 4

Thank you for such a thoughtful and honest review — and we genuinely appreciate you giving Deer Forest a chance despite it not being your usual preference. We're glad the deer left a positive impression. Their welfare and freedom to roam are things we care deeply about, and it means a great deal to hear that came through. Your observations about the unfinished areas are fair and noted. We opened while still completing certain parts of the property, and we understand that scaffolding, unfinished work, and scattered materials break the atmosphere we've worked hard to create. This is being addressed as construction progresses, and your specific observations about the rear area and the water's edge will be passed directly to the team. The feedback on our menu — descriptions, photography, and presentation — is equally valuable. A menu should make guests hungry, not hesitant, and we hear you clearly on that. We hope the finished version of Deer Forest might one day earn a second visit.

Very beautiful setting the deer roam free with the visitors. You can feed the deer carrots supplied for 50 baht a basket. The male deer can be aggressive so use caution with children. Food is good but somewhat overpriced for the serving sizes. Overall a good experience. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
