Had a delicious tonkatsu here at Tongnamu 172 (paired with Droptop in the same location). Lovely ambience, warm, and with delightful food. It was just what I needed on a warm day. The tonkatsu was freshly made and the rest of the meal paired well with it. Recommended! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My wife and I came for dinner on a Thursday night in the end of November after searching for an open restaurant in town and finally found this gem. We had attempted going to 3 others down the road but they were all closed. We were the only customers there but the hosts nicely started a fire and insisted we sit next to it to stay warm. We both ordered the Tonkatsu with homemade apple sauce/gravy and we absolutely loved it. Just a note, the menu is very limited. We didn’t know what to expect but it was a pleasant surprised. The Pork Tonkatsu was super crispy and was a good portion size. The gravy with the fresh apples cut in it was delicious never had that combo before but glad we did. The side salad was also tasty as it had a delicious dressing on it. Pricing was fair as well. Believe we spent $10 per dish. We even came back early the next morning for coffee before hiking Juwangsan. The coffee was delicious as well. Great spot to try in a small town.
