We always have a special love for Thai cuisine and Thailand. This time we visited Haiyat, Southern Thailand and had a great lunch with Thai friends at Chalee D’s Hatyai. The restaurant offers authentic southern Thai food with rich flavors and generous portions that really reminded us of Hat Yai-style cuisine. We ordered quite a lots with various seafood dishes. I believe that the secret recipe is coconut milk added into each dish and make it more special. The atmosphere is casual, cozy, and comfortable for both family and gatherings with friends. The food was served quite quickly, and every dish we ordered was flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The tom yum, grilled fish, crabs, fish served inside a whole coconut with coconut rice, and other Thai-style dishes were especially delicious. The staffs were friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making the our experience even more enjoyable. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, it’s a nice place to enjoy authentic Thai food, and we would definitely come back again some day. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: ฿200–400
