We had a great 3-night stay at Dolphin Bay Resort. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant served good food. The resort has a handy mini-mart, affordable laundry service, a restaurant, kids’ playground, and is close to the beach. Although one of the children’s pools was under maintenance, we were still able to enjoy the main pool. A lovely family-friendly resort that we would recommend. Service: 4

My family and I were in the "superior bungalow pool view rooms" and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The electrical socket and USB ports (see image attached) didn't work at all. The plug sockets near one of the beds desperately needs replacing. Service was typical of a 3-star hotel. There were numerous times when I ordered something & it just never came or it eventually did but only after asking several other waiters after waiting longer than necessary, e.g. I ordered a beer and waited 45 mins for it. Food at the restaurant is below par except for during breakfast. My family and I decided to eat elsewhere after the first night when our dinner was abysmal so say the least. The next day we gave the Cafe Loma one more chance with lunch but it was an absolute shambles yet again. I can't stop singing the praises of the reception staff & maintenence were also pretty much on the ball. Facilities wise, I think the resort looks tired and needs a massive revamp. The were loose planks near the poo (see attached image) that acted as paths. Overall, I totally get that it's a 3-star hotel but the resort needs several improvements before it could be considered a pleasurable experience for holiday goers, especially those with children. Please note that we are currently replacing all mattresses and carrying out repairs on the decking, as well as addressing maintenance issues such as sockets.
