Popular place among Koreans. Used aged black pork and it was sooo good (coming from a non-meaty lover). Good with salt (yes just dip it into salt and nothing else). I personally preferred the pork cheek meat over pork belly. They help you with the grilling, including grilling the vegetables. They provided kimchi stew alongside anything you buy, so no need to order one. Price per person: ₩20,000–30,000

Out of all the black pig kbbq I had on Jeju, Don Black was the most delicious! They specialized in wet aged pork and you can see it displayed in their shop. When we got there at 6:00 pm, they were out of their wet aged pork belly but had all the others. We ordered one of each so that we can try all the various cuts of pork. They were all delicious and I do regret that I was not able to taste the pork belly. The cooking was done by the staff and I think that is one of the reason it was delicious. As somebody from the US, I probably cook my pork to death before eating due to all the food safety warning we are used to. They cook it until it is just pink and it is still juicy. Everything is cooked on what looks like a cast iron plate which gets hot very quickly. They then quickly oil it with pork (??) fat before cooking the meats. They expertly cut it up into bite size pieces and portion it out. You do have to eat it pretty quickly as the meat continues to cook on the plate. They also had an array of veggies that include mushroom, peppers, and kimchi. All of those are refillable including the little plates (banchan) but the star is the delicious flavorful jeju black pork. The location is great with plenty of parking nearby. It is also on a quieter part of Seogwipo with a nice interior. Altogether, I would recommend going to Don Black for wet aged jeju black pig if you are on Jeju! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
