Wow. Walked across this place by accident. What great food and the prices were so cheap. If I’m ever back this way I would stop in agin. Highly recommend this if you’re in the area Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Downtown Café is a small, informal place on Montri Road. One of several restaurants in the vicinity trying to cater to locals and tourists alike. Prices are moderate, the décor is run-of-the-mill, the service is warm and friendly. I needed breakfast and could spot just one vegetarian dish on the menu - vegetable sandwich. There was no choice of bread. It was just ordinary white bread. The sandwich, probably had egg mayonnaise in it, but I was hungry and had it anyway. Washing it down with iced americano. Later, still feeling hungry, I ordered a mango shake. It was a big disappointment, with hardly any taste of mango. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ฿100–200 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Nothing really. The vegetable sandwich has egg mayonnaise. Dietary restrictions: Nothing for vegans unfortunately. Plenty of meat and fish dishes for the gluten-averse.
