Had a terrible experience this evening. Came in with my 1-year-old child, who briefly picked up a fully wrapped piece of bread from a lower shelf, something any toddler would naturally do. An older staff member with dyed golden hair immediately started shouting in Chinese that the bread was “spoiled,” raising her voice across the counter while I was still in the middle of making payment. After I paid, she rushed over, grabbed the bread, and continued insisting it was “spoiled”, over nothing more than a tiny dent. The reaction was completely disproportionate and frankly shocking. There was zero patience, zero understanding, and no basic courtesy, especially given the situation involved a baby. If this is the standard of service here, it’s unacceptable. A small dent does not equal “spoiled,” and treating customers like this over something so trivial reflects extremely poor judgment and attitude. (FYI, I bought the bread without hesitation to avoid further lunacy) I won’t be returning. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20

The staff aunty, who looks to be in her 60s, was quite rude. Also, there is a ShopBack payment option available, but she kept the QR code hidden Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I walked in and want to purchase black pearl bread, didnt find it on shelf so ask the staff for it. However the auntie didnt understand what im saying, so i told her it’s a black looking bread that has black beans inside. Then she told me theres only one bread in their shop that has black bean and its green looking, no other bread has black bean, and that I must have bought from other stores and not duke bakery. I was confused and doubting myself for a moment, so i went to search on google for the bread and show her a photo w cross section and told her theres really black beans inside. I think she woke up with bad mood this morning, got so defensive and said “That’s black sesame and not black bean la, why you tell me black bean”. Staff can be more polite, friendly and helpful. Not sure if the bread has been discontinued, it’s nice and I have been purchasing it for years. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
