Visited Dutum Korean BBQ recently after being introduced to it by friends, and it turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. From the quality of the food to the attentive service, it’s easy to see why this place has built a loyal following. The food quality was excellent throughout the meal. The standout was undoubtedly the meat, which was of consistently high quality and packed with flavour. What made the experience even better was that the staff handled all the grilling, ensuring each cut was cooked properly and served at the right time. We simply sat back and enjoyed the food without having to worry about overcooking anything ourselves. Beyond the meat, the side dishes were equally impressive, maintaining a strong level of quality and variety throughout the meal. Even the beverages were thoughtfully selected and complemented the food well, which added to the overall experience. The environment was comfortable and welcoming. Located in the Tanjong Pagar area, the restaurant offers a pleasant dining setting with a decent amount of space between tables. It felt lively without becoming overly noisy, making it suitable for both casual gatherings and special occasions. Service was another strong point. The team was efficient, attentive, and highly organised throughout the evening. Their assistance with grilling the meat was particularly appreciated, as it allowed us to focus entirely on enjoying the meal. Everything felt smooth, well-paced, and professionally managed. Overall, a very satisfying Korean BBQ experience with excellent meat quality, strong consistency across the menu, and service that genuinely elevates the meal. Dutum Korean BBQ Restaurant (두툼) offers a satisfying and authentic Korean BBQ experience that hits the spot. We ordered the pork belly for BBQ, and it was the star of the meal. The slices were thick, fresh, and beautifully marbled. Once grilled, the pork belly turned lightly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside. Wrapped in lettuce with garlic, kimchi, and their savoury dipping sauce, every bite was rich and flavourful. The seafood pancake was another highlight. It arrived piping hot with crispy golden edges and a soft, fluffy centre. Generously filled with seafood, it had a nice balance of texture and taste, especially when dipped into the light soy-based sauce. It was comforting and very satisfying. What truly enhanced the experience was the service. The staff were attentive and friendly, constantly refilling the side dishes without us needing to ask. The banchan selection was fresh and complemented the grilled meat perfectly. Overall, the food was very yummy, portions were good, and the welcoming service made the meal even more enjoyable.
