I’ve visited Ebb & Flow (the lobby lounge/coffee shop at The Park Lane Hong Kong, Causeway Bay) twice recently, and while the food was a highlight, the service left me quite disappointed. The food is genuinely good. The nachos are really tasty – cheesy, well-seasoned, and generous. The chicken wings are also delicious, crispy and flavorful. If you’re just there for snacks or light bites with coffee, the quality is solid and worth coming back for. Unfortunately, the service from some staff was casual, impolite, and indifferent toward customers. What bothered me the most was overhearing staff (especially one named Macy) gossiping about customers right behind us – it felt unprofessional and made the atmosphere uncomfortable. That said, one staff member stood out positively: the duty manager, Gordon. When we raised our complaint about the service, he handled it very professionally and responsibly. He listened carefully, apologized sincerely, and took it seriously. He truly seems like the gatekeeper maintaining higher standards there – kudos to him for stepping up. Overall, potential is there with the location, food, and at least one excellent manager, but the general staff attitude needs work to match the hotel’s reputation. I might return for the nachos, but I’d hope for better service next time. Meal type: Other Price per person: HK$200–250 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
