We had dinner here recently and the experience was a bit mixed. The setting is beautiful, especially at sunset, a really nice place to relax and enjoy the view. The atmosphere was great, and the waiter was very kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations. It wasn’t the best we’ve had in Thailand, and the seafood hot pan tasted slightly off, which was disappointing. The garlic bread was also very greasy and chewy. It’s a shame the food lets the place down, because the location and service are really nice. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿400–600 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Our first time in Koh Lanta and was excited to have dinner on the beach to watch a beautiful sunset. Our first impression when we sat ourselves (we believe to be the male owner) came over with the menu and he was still chewing on his food. My husband and I greeted him with a S̄wạs̄dī, it was crickets as he walked away. I am half Thai and I felt he was very insulting towards new customers. We should have left but I thought that since we are already here then let’s give it a go. He came back and we ordered drinks. It seemed like this person had an issue with us or was just having a bad day. Again, he returned to take our order and was again super short and unfriendly. While we waited for our food to arrive, other customers were coming into the restaurant and we noticed he was super friendly to other guests with hellos, welcome and even hugs but to others he couldn’t care less about. It’s sad. the place had a lovely atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and a great sunset to watch. The food was good, but he didn’t even ask how spicy we would like our dishes. He just assumed we couldn’t handle spice. The crispy fried chicken green curry would have been great if they would add little more curry to the plate. The staff that brought us our food was nice and friendly. Unfortunately, no one ever asked if we wanted another drink, how was everything, etc. you know good customer service especially in hospitality. We asked for our bill the same angry man came to hand it to me which was funny cause in all cases they always hand the bill to my husband . He had no problem standing there waiting for payment. He didn’t even say thank you. what was I thinking We will never return to this Easy Bar. They should change the name to CRANKY BAR.
