Elephant Bar is a beautifully designed venue located inside the historic Centara Resort, offering live music every evening performed by a talented band. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service is excellent, and the drinks are well-crafted and nicely presented. It’s definitely worth visiting after dinner for a calm and enjoyable experience. A Colonial Gem with Soul and Style in Hua Hin If you are looking for an evening of pure class and nostalgia, The Elephant Bar at the Centara Grand Hua Hin is an absolute breath of fresh air. From the moment you step into this beautifully preserved English colonial-style setting, you feel transported to a more elegant era. The Music: A Class Act The highlight of the evening is undoubtedly the three-piece formation, "The Emotions," featuring the incredible vocalist Kian. They perform every night (except Mondays) from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The musicianship is top-tier: they alternate between a stunning grand piano and the bass guitar, and it’s a delight to hear the men take the lead on vocals occasionally as well. Note: Even on Mondays, the bar offers live music with another band, so you’re never without a soundtrack. For those who feel brave, they even host Open Mic nights where guests can showcase their own singing talents. The Drinks: Liquid Perfection The cocktail menu is extensive and expertly crafted. For me, the Mojito Exclusiva was the winner, but a companion in my group claimed their Pina Colada was the best they had ever tasted in Asia. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring your glass is never empty while you soak in the atmosphere. The Atmosphere The best part? You don't have to be a guest at the Centara hotel to enjoy this experience—everyone is welcome. It offers a level of sophistication and style that is hard to find elsewhere in town. One minor tip: Is it perfect? Almost! Just be aware that even the local mosquitoes find this bar a wonderful place to linger, so a little repellent might be your best friend for an uninterrupted evening of jazz and cocktails. ;-) Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hua Hin who appreciates quality music and a sophisticated vibe.
