カエル鍋、お粥と一緒に。美味い！ 遅い時間帯は混み、16時開店と記載があったので10分くらい前に到着。席には、すんなり着席、しかし16時になっても注文の受付は始まらず…待つこと更に30分、やっと注文が始まるが、順番は関係なく手を挙げた順…。ビールは売ってないです…。持ち込みも不可。怒られます…。辛口にしたので飲みたいのを我慢し、実食！。基が甘辛いタレに唐辛子が追加され、めちゃくちゃ美味い！同じような店が周りに数軒あるが、この店のみ混んでいる！. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $20–30

蛙とお粥を分けて注文するのがおすすめ、自分で味調整しやすいからです。蛙は宫保味にした、少々辛くて味がかなり濃い方。三匹入ってて一人だと量が多かった。

Visited Eminent Frog Porridge & Seafood recently and came away with mixed feelings. This has long been one of the household names associated with frog leg porridge in Singapore, so perhaps part of the challenge was that my expectations were shaped by memories of previous visits. The food was decent overall, but I couldn't help feeling that the standard has slipped somewhat compared to what I remembered. The signature frog leg porridge remains the main attraction, and the frog meat itself was tender enough and properly cooked. The gong bao-style sauce still paired well with the plain porridge, delivering that familiar sweet, savoury, and slightly spicy combination that has made the dish popular over the years. However, I found the overall flavour noticeably saltier than before, and the dish lacked some of the balance and finesse I remembered. The biggest disappointment of the meal was the oyster omelette. It simply didn't work for me. The combination of sauce and egg felt awkward, and the dish lacked the texture and flavour contrast that makes a good oyster omelette enjoyable. The environment remains very much a traditional local kopitiam setup, but unfortunately it was one of the weaker aspects of the visit. The dining area felt hot, crowded, and somewhat chaotic. Even as someone who enjoys local hawker and coffee shop dining, I found it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the meal. There was constant movement around the tables, with diners, staff, and servers walking up and down the narrow aisles throughout the evening. Service was fairly basic, though admittedly I wasn't expecting much in that department. Staff interactions were functional rather than memorable, but food arrived quickly and orders were processed efficiently. Overall, still a decent place for frog leg porridge, but this visit didn't quite recapture the standard or experience I remembered from years ago.
