We had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Empress, made even more memorable by the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly throughout our visit. One staff member whose name started with “Aa” (unfortunately I can’t remember the full name) was especially outstanding. He recommended us dishes, informed us about the happy hour promotion for alcoholic drinks, and even came by at 7.45pm to remind us before happy hour ended at 8pm, just as we had requested. They were also readily available whenever we have any requests They also surprised the birthday girl with complimentary desserts, which made the celebration even more special. When an insect accidentally landed in one of our glasses of wine, the staff immediately replaced it without hesitation, and we really appreciated how professionally and graciously they handled the situation. The food was excellent as well. Most we ordered was well executed, but the scallop dish was definitely the highlight of the meal—perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The fried rice, gyoza and Peking duck was good too. The desserts are also a must-order. I especially loved the orh nee, which was smooth, fragrant, and not overly sweet, and my friends love the pandan crème brûlée. Great food, outstanding hospitality, and thoughtful little touches throughout the evening made this an experience a great one. Really like the atmosphere and ambiance which allowed my friends and I to catch up uninterrupted, without having to rush through the meal as there was no dining time limit. Highly recommended! I came here for a work lunch, and we got their lunch set with different mains so we could try more variety. The food was rather normal. They look elevated but they also look better than they taste. I think they could reconsider serving individual portions for the mains instead of doing it sharing style. It's not a place I would come back to nor recommend people. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 60–70
