ラストオーダー直前でも快く対応してくれました！ 21時過ぎに訪問しました。ラストオーダーは21時半でしたが、店員さんがとても親切に案内してくれました。 • トムヤムクン：酸味と辛味のバランスが絶妙で、とても濃厚！今まで食べた中でも上位に入る美味しさです。 • パイナップルチャーハン：ほのかな酸味があって全然しつこくなく、スプーンが止まりませんでした。特におすすめです。 • 海老春巻き：初めて食べましたが、添えられた甘酸っぱいソースとの相性が抜群でした。 • パッタイ：こちらも安定の美味しさ。全体的にコスパが良く、接客も丁寧だったので、またリピートしたいと思います！. I returned solo to Erawan Tea Room for a nostalgic visit. I was surprised to see the restaurant so quiet because the last time I was here in 2019, we had a great time. Sadly, a lot seems to have changed. I ordered ala carte instead of high tea because I wanted sample other things in their menu. The food now seems to be catered to a western palate. It was bland, which is a rather sad adjective to use for Thai cuisine. The mango sticky rice is probably the worst I’ve eaten in my life. The service seemed welcoming at first, but what happened toward the end of my meal was rather bewildering. Literally 2 seconds after I ate the last roll on my side dish, the waitress swooped in and cleared that plate. She didn’t ask, she just grabbed it and left. Mind you, there was still some stuff on that plate I wanted to sample. Later, when I finished my main dish but wanted eat my crackers over it to avoid getting crumbs on the table, she immediately tried to take the plate away without asking but this time I stopped her and had to tell her I wasn’t done, with food still in my mouth. She looked at me like I was giving her grief for doing her job and then had another woman serve me. As I left the restaurant, she wouldn’t even look at me, just a stone cold expression. I hope the Grand Hyatt management can teach her some basic service etiquette. I ate at some unknown cheap street place in Chatuchak a few days prior and even they had the courtesy to ask before clearing my plate. I don’t want to rate the restaurant low because of the temperamental actions of 1 staff, but I really can’t get over how disappointing the food was. Won’t be coming back.
