The quality of the dishes is excellent, the ingredients are fresh, and everything is cooked with great care. You can feel that it’s an authentic place, even locals come here to eat, which says a lot about how good the food is. On top of that, the prices are very good, much closer to local prices than typical tourist ones. Honestly, we were left speechless after this meal. I especially recommend: the beef salad from the photo – incredibly flavorful the pork belly with garlic on top – crispy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious I highly recommend this restaurant with complete confidence. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth giving it a try, even if the place looks modest at first. Sometimes the most unassuming places hide the best food. The only small inconvenience would be the flies, which seem to be everywhere but honestly, that’s quite common in very local places in Thailand and it doesn’t take away from how amazing the food is. This is a very credible restaurant serving a large range of Thai dishes. The meat portions were reasonable and the taste was authentic. Prices compared to other restaurants on the island were good value. Their business is going well and the owners exude a most contented ambience.

Despite the amount of classy looking establishments Esan Family comes out top in comparative quality , quantity and price. Here you can have a Nam Tok Neua of better quality than a steak at three times the price in more upmarket locations. The family work hard and it's always worth the wait as they usually have multiple orders per table. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Pork Boiled Dip, Grilled Fish Miang, Grilled Pork, Thai Corn Salad, Grilled Beef, Fried Pork Ribs, Vegetables and Dipping, Minced Pork Salad Vegetarian options: Not really optional.
