Visited Eureka Taste at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, near NUH, and found it to be a practical, welcoming café for both students and hospital visitors. The space brings together several different food concepts in one spot: a mixed dish stall, a Chinese pan-fried bun stall, and Gallery 27, the salad and bakery counter. Gallery 27’s bakes are genuinely tasty — well-made, not overly sweet, and good for a quick bite or takeaway. They are currently running a promotion featuring the famous ProTEGO, which you can choose for free as your salad base and also as part of your protein selection. In addition, the Chinese noodles shop is also offering ProTEGO as an alternative to regular noodles — free for a limited time only. It tastes great as a healthier noodle option while still being satisfying. I was really pleased to see ProTEGO offered in multiple ways — it is high in protein and low in glycemic index, making it a more nourishing staple compared to refined carbs. Overall, Eureka Taste is a convenient, sensible dining option in the medical school area — especially if you’re looking for balanced meals without sacrificing flavour.
